Overview

Max’s Restaurant Congressional Branch in Quezon City offers a familiar, comforting dining experience centered around its iconic fried chicken. Located on the ground floor of Northridge Plaza along Congressional Avenue, this spot caters well to families and friends looking for a classic Filipino meal in a casual yet spacious setting.

The restaurant’s star attraction remains Max’s Fried Chicken, celebrated for its golden crispiness and uniquely seasoned recipe. Served either half or whole, it captures the essence of what made the brand a household name. Along with this, the menu highlights include hearty Filipino staples like Arroz Caldo and Pancit Canton—each dish warm and satisfying, great choices for those wanting both flavor and tradition in one meal.

For those seeking a refreshing finish, Max’s offers delightful desserts such as Mais Con Yelo and the colorful Halo-Halo. These treats showcase local ingredients and flavors, enhanced by the delicate aroma of pandan or the richness of leche flan and ube. Also noteworthy is their condiment trio, designed to complement the fried chicken with classic Max’s banana ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and a touch of heat.

The ambiance at the Congressional branch is generally relaxed, making it suitable for intimate meals or quiet gatherings. Customers appreciate the attentive service and the less crowded environment compared to busier locations. However, occasional issues like limited air conditioning during warmer days and parking constraints remind visitors that it’s a straightforward neighborhood spot.

Overall, Max’s Restaurant Congressional Branch stays true to its roots—providing familiar tastes, unpretentious atmosphere, and a dependable venue for those who crave authentic Filipino comfort food without the fuss. Whether you’re stopping by after running errands nearby or settling in for a casual meal, Max’s continues to deliver the essence of a Filipino favorite in Quezon City’s bustling landscape.

Max's comes out of a variety of menus regularly. It is a typical fine dining but service suffered due to peak hours.

Apr 2025: Your typical Max's. Nothing really special here. Just around the corner. Parking can be very difficult. For those who like the sizzling tofu, I remember it being a little creamy. This one seems a bit dry, don't you think? PS: I posted the story of Max's as painted on their wall. I think Ruby deserves more credit in the billing!

Waiters are attentive as well as this branch isn't always crowded so it's a good choice if you want to have a quiet time eating. Since there's not much customers, waiting time for food isn't that long and the branch is near good places so you can also do other stuff before or after eating (e.i.: Mercury drug, cherry, circle c)ml. Only problem here is probably the air conditioning, either they purposely didn't use the aircons because there's not much customers, but in times like today when it's hot and there's quite a few customers, the place isnt as cozy.
